The beginning of a new story: Unriddle is now Anara.

Today, we take the first step toward making Anara the platform where AI agents can be deployed and managed across research workflows.

Whether you're completing a literature review, exploring a new scientific domain, or preparing for an exam, these agents are designed to work alongside you in your Anara workspace.

Introducing our agents

We're launching with two agents that address some of the most common and time-consuming parts of research: building an initial understanding of a topic, and staying on top of new developments.

The Primer Agent helps you get up to speed on a new topic by generating comprehensive primers based on selected sources. You can choose papers from your library, and the agent will synthesize them into a structured overview—giving you a head start before diving into individual papers.

The Scout Agent monitors topics you care about and surfaces new research that matches your interests. You can configure it to watch specific keywords, authors, or domains, and it will alert you when something relevant is published.

How it works

Each agent operates within your workspace and has access to your library. You can configure agents through the settings panel, adjust how often they run, and review their outputs before taking action.

Agents are not meant to replace your judgment. Instead, they handle the repetitive work so you can focus on the parts of research that require deeper thinking.

Source settings

We've added a new settings panel that gives you more control over how sources are processed and organized. You can now:

• Set default citation styles
• Configure auto-tagging rules
• Adjust PDF rendering preferences
• Manage linked reference managers

These settings apply workspace-wide, but you can override them for individual sources when needed.

Citation management

The citation manager now supports more formats and includes a preview mode so you can see exactly how your citations will appear before exporting.

Flashcards

A highly requested feature: you can now generate flashcards from any source in your library. Select the text you want to study, and Anara will create question-answer pairs automatically.

Flashcards use spaced repetition to help you retain information over time. The algorithm adapts to your performance, showing cards more frequently when you're struggling and less often when you've mastered them.

Study modes

We've included three study modes:

1. Classic mode - Traditional flashcard review with flip-to-reveal
2. Quiz mode - Multiple choice questions generated from your cards
3. Write mode - Type your answer and get feedback on accuracy

Library has a new home

We've redesigned the library view to make it easier to navigate large collections. The new sidebar includes:

• Quick filters for tags, authors, and dates
• A search bar with advanced query support
• Folder navigation with drag-and-drop organization
• Recently viewed sources for quick access

The main panel now shows more metadata at a glance, and you can switch between grid and list views depending on your preference.

Some little big updates

Beyond the major features, we've made dozens of smaller improvements:

• Performance: Page load times reduced by 40%
• Accessibility: Full keyboard navigation support
• Mobile: Responsive design improvements
• Export: New export formats including Notion and Obsidian
• API: Rate limits increased for all plans

We're also rolling out a new onboarding flow for new users that introduces the core features through interactive tutorials.

What's next

This is just the beginning for agents on Anara. We're working on more specialized agents for tasks like literature mapping, methodology comparison, and collaborative annotation.
